How are payments processed on Watchimo?
All payments are handled by Stripe, a globally trusted payment gateway. When a viewer purchases access to your content, the payment goes directly to your Stripe Connected Account. Watchimo never holds or manually transfers your funds.
Does Watchimo take a fee from my earnings?
Creators receive the full amount they set for their content, minus Stripe’s standard processing fee. A 10% platform provision (minimum $1) is added on top of the creator’s set price and paid by the viewer.
Who handles payment disputes or refunds?
No. Watchimo doesn’t deduct anything from your price. Instead, a 10% commission (or $1 minimum) is added on top of your set price, paid by the viewer. This ensures you always receive your full asking amount (minus standard Stripe processing costs).
When will I receive my earnings?
Your earnings are automatically paid out to your linked bank account according to your Stripe payout schedule. Payout timing varies by country and Stripe account settings, but creators typically receive funds within a few business days.
Who pays the commission?
The viewer does. Watchimo’s commission is added on top of your price during checkout, meaning you always receive exactly what you asked for, while the viewer covers the platform’s commission.
How does pricing appear to viewers?
Viewers always see the final price including Watchimo’s commission before making a payment. The total amount shown at checkout clearly displays what they’ll pay, ensuring full transparency. Your set price remains untouched — you always receive the amount you chose.
Are there any additional costs or deductions?
The only deduction from your payout comes from Stripe’s standard processing fees, which vary slightly by country and payment method. Watchimo does not apply any hidden charges or deductions.
How do refunds or disputes work?
Since payments occur directly between creators and viewers, creators are responsible for managing their own refunds, disputes, and chargebacks through Stripe. Watchimo provides tools and visibility to help creators manage these easily but does not intervene in individual cases.
Can I track my transactions and earnings?
Yes. You can view all completed transactions, commissions, and payouts directly from your Stripe Dashboard. Your Watchimo dashboard also displays a summary of your sales, views, and earnings for convenience.
Can viewers send tips to creators?
Yes. Viewers can send tips to creators at any time. Watchimo adds a 10% commission on top of the tip amount, so creators always receive the full tip they set, minus Stripe processing fees.
How do paid DM packs work?
Creators can create paid messaging packs on their profile (for example, 10 messages for $10). Viewers purchase a pack to chat with the creator through Watchimo’s in-built messenger. Once the pack is used up, viewers can buy additional packs to continue the conversation.
Who is responsible for taxes?
Creators are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes in their jurisdiction. Watchimo and Stripe do not withhold or remit taxes automatically.
How long does my first payout take?
Stripe usually processes your first payout within 3–7 business days, depending on your country and verification status. Subsequent payouts follow your Stripe payout schedule and are typically faster.
