Watchimo is a creator-driven platform that lets anyone publish and monetize their videos or photo albums. Viewers can directly support creators by purchasing access to their content through Stripe. Watchimo simply connects both sides — creators and viewers — while adding a small commission on top of the creator’s set price.
What makes Watchimo different from other creator platforms?
Unlike traditional platforms, Watchimo doesn’t take a cut from your price. The platform adds its commission on top of what you set, meaning you always receive your full asking amount (minus Stripe’s processing costs). Payments go directly to creators, keeping transactions transparent and fair.
Do I need an account to watch content?
For most content — yes.<br/>However, if a creator offers a “1 view” access option for a video, you can watch it without registration. For all other access types (multiple views or timed access), you’ll need to register a free Watchimo account.
How do I register on Watchimo?
You can sign up using Google, Facebook, or your email address. If you register by email, Watchimo will send you a secure login or confirmation link — no passwords needed. Simply click the link to access your account.
What’s the difference between a viewer and a creator?
Everyone starts as a viewer after registration. You become a creator once you connect or create a Stripe Standard Connected Account through Watchimo. After that, you can upload and sell your own video and photo content directly to viewers.
Who handles the payments — Watchimo or creators?
All payments are processed directly between viewers and creators via Stripe. Watchimo only facilitates the transaction and collects its commission. Since creators receive payments directly, they are considered the sellers and are responsible for their own terms, refunds, and disputes.
Can creators set their own prices?
Absolutely. Creators decide how much to charge for:<br/><br/><ul><li><b>Video content:</b> Multiple pricing models (per view, unlimited access, or time-based access).</li><li><b>Photo albums:</b> One set price per album. Watchimo automatically adds its commission on top of the final price viewers see.</li></ul>
Is Watchimo available worldwide?
Yes, as long as Stripe supports your country for connected accounts and payments. You can check Stripe’s supported countries list to confirm if you can create or connect your Stripe account to Watchimo.
