How do I become a creator on Watchimo?
To become a creator, simply connect or create your Stripe Standard Connected Account through Watchimo. Once connected, you’ll be able to upload videos and photo albums, set prices, and receive payments directly from viewers.
How do I upload my content?
After connecting your Stripe account, you’ll see an option to upload videos or create photo albums in your creator dashboard. You can add titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and set your own pricing options for each piece of content.
What types of pricing can I set for my videos?
You can choose from multiple video pricing models:<br/><br/><ul><li><b>Per View</b> (e.g., 1 view for $1, 5 views for $3, etc.)</li><li><b>Time-based access</b> (e.g., 1-day, 3-day, 7-day access)</li><li><b>Unlimited access</b> (permanent access to the video)</li></ul><br/><br/>You can create as many access options as you like for each video.
How do I price my photo albums?
Photo albums have one fixed price per album. You can choose any amount that reflects your content’s value. Watchimo automatically adds a 10% (or $1 minimum) commission on top of your price — viewers see the final price including this commission.
How do I get paid?
All earnings are paid directly to your Stripe Connected Account once a viewer makes a purchase. Stripe then transfers the funds to your linked bank account according to your Stripe payout schedule. Watchimo never holds your money.
Who is responsible for refunds or disputes?
As payments happen directly between you and your viewers, you’re the seller of record. This means you handle your own refunds, disputes, or chargebacks through your Stripe account. Watchimo doesn’t mediate individual transactions but provides the tools to manage them easily.
Can I promote my Watchimo content outside the platform?
Absolutely. You can freely share your Watchimo links on social media, personal websites, or anywhere you connect with your audience. When viewers purchase through your shared link, the payment still goes directly to you via Stripe — just like any other transaction on Watchimo.
Are there any restrictions on what I can upload?
Creators must follow Watchimo’s Content Guidelines. You can’t upload illegal, copyrighted, harmful, or explicit material that violates those rules. Always ensure you own the rights to everything you publish — including music, visuals, and images.
Can I receive tips from viewers?
Yes. Tipping option is automatically enabled on your profile. Watchimo will automatically add a 10% commission on top of each tip, which is paid by the viewer, ensuring you receive the full amount you set.
How do I create paid DM packs?
In your profile settings, you can create paid messaging packs specifying the number of messages and price (e.g., 10 messages for $10). These packs allow viewers to chat with you directly in Watchimo’s messenger. You remain in control of pricing and availability.
